How many books do you have on your to-be read shelf?

And here's my answer:
Well, I actually have a to-be read bag, because, well, there's no more room on my shelf. Let me count...that's 9 books on my immediate tbr! Not counting the gazillion books I've made a mental note to read in the future...

Off-topic - anyone have any unlucky experiences to share on this day? I remember my unluckiest day - I was in school, and a series of really bad things happened to me in quick succession. Like my homework flew out of the window. I was on the third floor, and had no way of getting out the classroom (who would believe me?!?). And then I was whacked in the face by a basketball. That's all I really remember right now. But it was a horrible day.
